Tips:

Maximum range of VL53L0X is 2m, Altitude hold 0~2m @ throttle 0~100% if VL53L0X is enabled.
Any unused UART of FC supports it
Sonar connection (Trig & Echo) has not been implemented
If your flight controller doesn’t have a barometer detected, you won’t be able to select “NAV ALTHOLD” in modes tab.

Optical Flow Sensor:
The optical flow sensor, based on the PMW3901 optical flow sensor chip, functions similarly to an optical mouse, utilizing the principle of image tracking to estimate the drone's motion relative to the ground. It operates by tracking the movement of features in the ground surface beneath the drone, providing real-time data on the drone's translation and rotation.
Lidar Sensor:
The integrated ST VL53L0X lidar sensor employs time-of-flight (TOF) technology to measure distances accurately, ranging up to a maximum of 2 meters.
It emits pulses of infrared light and measures the time it takes for the reflected pulses to return, determining the distance to obstacles and terrain features.
Combined Functionality:
The combination of optical flow and lidar sensing provides a comprehensive solution for autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance.
The optical flow sensor excels in indoor environments with sufficient surface texture, while the lidar sensor complements its performance in outdoor environments and low-light conditions, offering enhanced obstacle detection and ranging capabilities.
