InsideFPV Launches Drone Lab at Muni Seva Ashram in Vadodara

At InsideFPV, we believe that real innovation begins when technology becomes accessible and when learners are given the space to explore it without limits. That’s exactly what inspired us to create a fully equipped Drone Lab at Muni Seva Ashram in Vadodara.

This initiative is more than a facility. It’s our commitment to nurturing the next wave of drone pilots, engineers, and innovators who will shape India’s UAV ecosystem.

Building a Culture of Learning Through Action

A lot of institutions talk about innovation, but very few create environments where it can actually grow. InsideFPV’s lab setup is more than just a collection of high-end equipment. We have built a learning ecosystem built with one goal in mind: to give students a real feel of the drone world from the inside out.

The idea is simple. Teach them how to build, fly, repair, and most importantly, understand drones. Not in theory, but in practice. The lab allows learners to engage with every part of the process, from soldering circuits to planning autonomous missions.

And it is not just about learning how drones fly. It is about understanding where they fit into the bigger picture.

Whether it is agriculture, defence, mapping, or emergency response, students walk away knowing how UAVs are solving real problems in the real world.

A Space Built for Action, Not Just Observation

Talk to anyone who has built their first drone, and you’ll understand something: drones are best learned by doing. That’s why we designed this lab as a complete experience, not a passive classroom.

From day one, learners go into building, repairing, flying, and configuring drones. Every workbench is fully equipped with professional tools, soldering kits, multimeters, and custom drone-building gear.

This gives students the confidence and competence to work on real-world systems.

Also, the learning doesn’t stop at hardware. Our lab includes high-end FPV flight simulators like Liftoff, Velocidrone, and Uncrashed. Paired with radio transmitters and FPV goggles, trainees experience flight in a risk-free setting before stepping into our netted indoor flying zone.

What Makes This Lab Unique?

We’ve worked hard to make this lab a true center of excellence for drone training in India. Here’s what sets it apart:

Drone Assembly and Repair Stations

Every bench is loaded with tools that allow learners to build drones from the ground up. Whether it's soldering ESCs or troubleshooting firmware issues, students learn by solving real technical challenges.

Flight Simulators and Safety Gear

Our simulators give learners a safe space to understand drone mechanics and improve control. Paired with high-quality transmitters and practice drones, they create a realistic training pipeline.

Diverse Drone Inventory

From beginner training drones to advanced FPV racers and mapping UAVs, the lab has a fleet that covers every major application.

Advanced Software Ecosystem

Students learn how to configure and program drones using Betaflight, iNav, Mission Planner, and QGroundControl. Access to CAD tools and 3D printing further opens doors to custom innovation.

Training Designed to Build More Than Skills

What sets our training apart is its real-world application. Our 7-day FPV Drone Training Program covers the full journey, from design to deployment. We include specialized modules on:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing custom drones

  • Autonomous flight planning for industrial and government use

  • Sector-specific applications in agriculture, surveillance, and disaster response

This is not a theory-first model. Our students leave with the hands-on knowledge required to succeed in drone-related careers or build startups of their own.

Early Impact and What’s Ahead

In the first phase of training alone, we’ve seen over 100 students complete intensive learning and flight simulation sessions. Several of them built, configured, and tested their own drones during the program.

Looking forward, we’re introducing advanced modules such as:

  • BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations

  • AI-enabled drone missions

  • Integration with DGCA-aligned pilot certifications

We’re also excited to launch a Drone Innovation Cell in collaboration with Muni Seva Ashram. This is where students can work on live projects, collaborate with industry mentors, and prototype their own UAV solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend training at this drone lab?

The lab is open to students of Muni Seva Ashram for now, with plans to expand access through future workshops and regional collaborations.

Is certification provided after training?

Yes, participants receive certification from InsideFPV. As we scale, we aim to align with DGCA pilot training standards.

What drones are available for training?

Our fleet includes FPV racing drones, endurance mapping drones, and entry-level trainers, allowing students to train across multiple categories.

Do I need experience to join?

Not at all. The lab supports beginners and advanced learners. We start with the basics and scale up depending on student proficiency.

Will InsideFPV set up more labs in the future?

Yes. This is just the beginning of our Drone Lab program. We’re exploring partnerships with schools, universities, and technical institutions across India.
