  • Endurance & Communication Range Testing – Evaluating drones for long-range missions and secure communication.

  • Static & Moving Target Engagement Zones – Simulated battlefield scenarios to test precision and agility.

  • Warhead Lethality Testing – Assessing the impact and effectiveness of drone-mounted munitions.

Among the most exciting aspects of this facility is its role in loitering munition development. Also known as “kamikaze drones,” these UAVs can hover over a target area and execute precision strikes when necessary, making them invaluable in modern warfare scenarios.

During his visit, PM Modi was introduced to several indigenous defense systems, each a symbol of India's growing expertise in military technology:

  • Pinaka Rocket System – A multi-barrel rocket launcher capable of devastating precision strikes.

  • Air Bombs & Mines – Advanced explosives designed for aerial and ground-based warfare.

  • Multi-Mode Grenades – Versatile grenades suitable for multiple combat situations.

  • Anti-Tank Guided Missiles – Precision-guided weapons to neutralize enemy tanks and armored threats.

  • Nagastra Loitering Munitions – A range of UAVs with operational ranges from 15 km to over 100 km, carrying payloads between 1 kg to 10 kg for highly targeted strikes.

These advancements position India as a serious contender in the global defense technology race, bringing it closer to achieving strategic autonomy in critical military systems.
